Welcome Bobbie Blaise,
I understand how frustrating this is, especially since the speakers pair successfully but have never appeared as an audio output device.
Since you have already updated the drivers and removed/re-paired the speakers, I would check whether Windows is detecting them specifically as an audio device:
- Open Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers, then select View > Show hidden devices Check whether the Edifier speakers or any Bluetooth audio device appears there. If nothing relevant appears, select “Action” > Scan for hardware changes
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices. Under Device settings, change Bluetooth devices discovery to “Advanced”, then check whether the speakers are detected differently.
- Display disabled or disconnected playback devices
- Press Windows key + R to open Run
- Type
mmsys.cpland select OK - In the Sound window, open the Playback tab.
- Right-select a blank area inside the device list.
- Enable:
- Show Disabled Devices
- Show Disconnected Devices
- If the Edifier speakers appear, right-select them and choose Enable
- Right-select them again and choose Set as Default Device
- Select Apply, then OK, and test the sound.
Looking forward to your update.
