Hi, if you removed only the attachment but still have the email, the quickest option is to ask the sender to resend it. Also check Downloads or OneDrive for a copy you previously saved.

If you deleted the whole email, open Deleted Items >> right-click the email >> Move >> Inbox. If it’s missing, select Deleted Items >> Home >> Recover Deleted Items From Server, if available >> select the email >> Restore Selected Items >> OK.

For classic Outlook on Windows, recover deleted attachments the same way as other deleted Outlook items:

    1. Open the Deleted Items folder first.
    2. If the message that had the attachment is there, select it and use Move to restore it to another folder.
    3. If the item is no longer in Deleted Items, go to Deleted Items and then on the Home tab select Recover Deleted Items From Server.
    4. Restore the item from there.

    Important:

    • This works only if the account supports recovery from the server.
    • If the account shows Trash instead of Deleted Items, or if Recover Deleted Items From Server is missing, that account does not support this recovery method.
    • In Outlook, deleted items can often be recovered from Deleted Items or Junk Email, and in some cases even after Deleted Items has been emptied.
