Hi Microsoft Support, I am trying to redeem Robux in the Philippines. I only have a mobile phone and I don't have a PC. The 'Add phone number' option is completely missing from my account preferences, and I cannot do SMS verification. Please help me process my redemption and send the Roblox code directly to my email. Thank you!

    Hello,

Microsoft is phasing out phone number verification as a method of verifying your identity with two-factor authentication (2FA). The “Add phone number” option was removed several months ago to improve account security, so you can no longer add a phone number to your Microsoft account. Instead, you can use the Microsoft Authenticator app, a passkey, or a recovery email address.

    1. May I ask whether you are currently trying to redeem your rewards through the Microsoft Bing app? ot through a mobile web browser?

If you do not have the Bing app installed, download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, then try redeeming your rewards through the app.

Check whether you can verify your identity directly through the Bing app without being prompted for phone-number verification.

For personal Microsoft accounts, the missing Add phone number option is expected in many cases. Microsoft is phasing out SMS as a method of authentication and account recovery for personal accounts, so the account may only offer other verification methods such as email, Microsoft Authenticator, or a passkey.

For Microsoft Rewards redemption, there is no supported way to have the Roblox code manually sent directly to email instead of completing the required verification flow.

    What can be done:

    1. Go to the Microsoft account Security page: https://account.microsoft.com/security
    2. Select Manage how I sign in.
    3. Choose Add a new way to sign in or verify.
    4. If phone is unavailable, add one of the available methods instead:
      • Microsoft Authenticator
      • Email address
      • Passkey
    5. Try the Rewards redemption again after adding that method.

If the redemption flow is blocked or shows phone verification only:

    1. Avoid repeated verification attempts, because repeated requests can trigger a temporary block.
    2. If blocked, wait at least 24 hours before trying again; in some cases it can take longer, up to 1 week.
    3. Try another network, such as switching between mobile data and Wi‑Fi.
    4. If available in the Rewards flow, use the Microsoft Authenticator app instead of SMS.

If the account already has no phone option and the Rewards page still requires phone verification, the remaining supported path is to contact Microsoft Support through the public support channel.
