Outlook attachment and link issues

When in Outlook and there is a link or attachment, I am unable to open either of them.

    Hi, @Jenny Bernal

    Have you already checked whether the same attachments and links open normally in Outlook on the web at https://outlook.live.com/mail?

    In New Outlook, also go to "Settings > Mail > Junk email" and under "Security options," make sure "Block attachments, pictures, and links from anyone not in my Safe senders and domains list" is not enabled.

    If the issue still persists, to help narrow down the issue:

    1. What exactly happens when you click a link or attachment? Do you receive an error message, or does nothing happen?
    2. Does this happen with every email and every attachment type, such as PDF or Word files, or only certain messages?

    Microsoft's current New Outlook known-issues page does not list a general issue preventing both links and attachments from opening:
