    Welcome kau,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, if the video was deleted directly from the preview screen in the Windows Camera app and it is no longer present in the “Camera Roll” folder or the Recycle Bin.

    To better understand your situation:

    • Was the video recorded using the built-in Windows Camera app, or from another camera application?
    • Do you use OneDrive backup for your “Pictures” folder or “Camera Roll” folder?

If you are not using OneDrive and the video was deleted about two months ago, recovery becomes very unlikely, especially on an SSD with TRIM enabled. TRIM allows the SSD to clean up deleted data blocks, which can significantly reduce the chance of successful recovery over time.

As a quick check, please verify:

    • The video is not present in “C:\Users\Pictures\Camera Roll”.
    • The video is not in the Recycle Bin.
    • If you use OneDrive, check the OneDrive Recycle Bin through the web portal.

    Looking forward to your update.
