Hello,
I am a SharePoint administrator with Full Control permissions. However, the Settings gear icon that normally appears in the top-right corner of my SharePoint sites is no longer visible on any page.
The Settings icon was available yesterday and earlier this morning but is no longer visible. Could you please advise how to fix this?

The issue has been resolved today, and the Settings Gear is now showing on the SharePoint sites across the different tenants I can access.

Since this is not expected behavior, could you please check with other users on the site (Site Owners or Members) to confirm whether they can still see the Settings (gear) icon?
Also, please open the SharePoint site in a private browsing session (such as Edge InPrivate or Chrome Incognito mode) and verify whether the Settings icon is displayed. If it appears there, the issue may be related to browser cache. In that case, please clear your browser profile cache for All Time and check again.
If the issue persists after clearing the cache, please contact your IT Administrator and ask them to verify whether the same behavior is occurring on other SharePoint sites.

We have the same issue, starting today. I have tried incognito, cleared cache etc. Its happening on other sites too that I am an admin of.

Since the issue can be reproduced consistently, it does not appear to be related to a specific organization or a local cache issue. In this situation, I recommend reporting the issue through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center by navigating to Health > Service Health > Report an issue. This will allow the Microsoft support team to investigate the behavior further and determine whether it is related to a service-side issue. If you are not a Microsoft 365 administrator, please contact your IT administrator and ask them to submit the report on your behalf.
Additionally, I recommend creating a support ticket directly with the Microsoft Support team so they can perform a more in-depth investigation. If necessary, they can escalate the case to the appropriate back-end engineering team for further analysis and assistance. When opening the support request, please make sure to disable the Support Assistant (AI) in the Help panel first. After that, enter a brief description of the issue. Once the AI assistant is turned off, the Contact Support option should become available, allowing you to submit a support ticket directly to Microsoft's support team.
