microsoft 365 has stopped responding

excel is not responding. it says it has run in to an error and has stopped responding and needs to exit, possible causes?

    Exit all Office apps and then run an Online Repair. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/lifecycle/repair-an-office-application .

    Before you begin, verify that you can access your Microsoft account at https://account.microsoft.com/services and that your subscription product is associated with the account. That way, you know that you can reinstall Office, which is usually the final step of an Online Repair.
