How do I block Flagged email spam? I receive at least 75 per day and must delete them one at a time.

    Hi Jim,

Good day! I understand that you are receiving a lot of spams emails a day. From my checking, for the flagged email spam that you mentioned, did you mean spam messages that keep appearing in your Inbox or Junk folder with a red flag? If yes, there is unfortunately no way to block all flagged messages based solely on the flag itself.

However, you may try the following:

-- mark the email as Junk instead of simply deleting them

    --block the sender

--create an outlook rule to automatically move messages with common characteristic such as same sender, domain or subject text to Junk or delete items

--Once the messages are in junk folder, you can proceed with bulk delete rather than deleting them one at a time

Please note that if in case these are all coming from different senders but share similar content, Outlook's spam filtering may need time to learn the pattern, and reporting them as junk can help improve filtering.

For Outlook for Windows, Block Sender does not stop delivery completely. It moves future messages from that sender to Junk Email.

For large volumes of spam, use these options:

    1. Block the sender or domain
      • In Outlook on the web: Settings > Mail > Junk email
      • Under Blocked senders and domains, add the sender address or the whole domain.
      • Blocking the domain is usually more effective than blocking one address at a time when spammers keep changing usernames.
    2. Create a rule to delete matching mail automatically
      • Go to Settings > Mail > Rules > Add new rule.
      • Create a rule that matches the sender address or domain.
      • Set the action to Delete or move it to Junk Email.
      • This avoids deleting messages one by one.
    3. Report phishing or spam
      • Use Report > Phishing on those messages.
      • This helps improve filtering for similar messages.
    4. Use Safe Senders for wanted mail
      • In Settings > Mail > Junk email, add trusted addresses or domains under Safe senders and domains so wanted messages are less likely to be filtered incorrectly.
    5. Important limitation
      • For personal Outlook.com accounts, there is no option in Outlook for Windows to fully reject a sender before delivery. Blocking mainly causes mail to be filtered as junk.

If the spam comes from many changing addresses, blocking individual senders is usually less effective than blocking domains and adding delete rules.
