    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

    Thank you for reaching out and providing the details of your concern.

    Based on the descriptions, to have physical disks appear under Available disks when creating a new Storage Pool, the disks must be eligible for pooling.

    You can verify the disk status by running the following PowerShell command:

    Get-PhysicalDisk | Format-Table FriendlyName, CanPool, CannotPoolReason

    Only disks that show CanPool = True can be added to a new storage pool.

    If your disks do not appear as available, please check the following:

    1. Make sure the disks are not already assigned to another storage pool.
    2. Remove any existing partitions or volumes from the disks.
    3. Verify that Windows detects the disks correctly and that their status is healthy.
    4. Confirm that the disks are supported for Storage Spaces. Supported storage types typically include SATA, SAS, and compatible USB-attached disks.

    To view only the disks that are available for pooling, run the below through Powershell:

    Get-PhysicalDisk | Where-Object {$_.CanPool -eq $True}

    If eligible disks are listed, you can create a new storage pool using:

    $disks = Get-PhysicalDisk | Where-Object {$_.CanPool -eq $True}
    $subsystem = Get-StorageSubSystem

    New-StoragePool -FriendlyName "MyPool" -InputObject $subsystem -PhysicalDisks $disks

    If the disks show CanPool = False, please share the output of the following command:

    Get-PhysicalDisk | Select FriendlyName, CanPool, CannotPoolReason

    The CannotPoolReason value can help identify why the disk is not available for a new storage pool and guide the next troubleshooting steps.
