    Welcome jjgamez3957,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand that your HP laptop battery is not charging even after the battery has been replaced.

The previous response asked whether the battery charges when the computer is turned off. To help narrow this down further:

    • Does Windows show any battery message such as "Plugged in, not charging" or is the battery percentage not increasing at all?
    • Are you using the original HP charger or a third-party replacement charger?

In the meantime, you can try these steps:

Step 1: Check the battery status in Windows.

    • Right-click the battery icon on the taskbar.
    • Note any charging message that appears.

Step 2: Run a battery report.

    • Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
    • Run: powercfg`` ``/batteryreport
    • Open the generated report and check for any battery health warnings.

Step 3: Reset the power management drivers.

    • Open Device Manager.
    • Expand Batteries.
    • Right-click Microsoft AC Adapter and select Uninstall device.
    • Right-click Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and select Uninstall device.
    • Restart the computer.

    Looking forward to your update.

Is it charging even if the computer is turned off?

If not, this has nothing to do with Windows or Microsoft as it cannot be fixed as a software issue.

It can be the battery itself, charging port, or charging cable, or internal connection. You need to contact HP support or take it to a local repair place for thorough exam.
