Personal Outlook.com Microsoft account cannot create Azure subscription.

Azure Portal opens but Directories + Subscriptions shows a directory GUID and no directories.

Azure signup, Entra ID, Subscriptions, and Help + Support fail.

Errors:

Microsoft Account diagnostics report no problems with the account.

Azure Portal shows a current directory GUID but "No directories found." Could this Outlook.com account be associated with an unmanaged Microsoft Entra directory or an orphaned tenant that is preventing Azure subscription creation?

my current working theory is:

Azure thinks there is (or was) a tenant relationship associated with your long-standing Microsoft account, but it cannot successfully resolve it. That's why you're seeing a directory GUID, "No directories found", AADSTS50058, and subscription creation failures all at the same time.

I would not create a new Microsoft account yet. You've gathered enough evidence that this is likely a backend account-association issue and not user error.

This Outlook.com account is my primary Microsoft account and has existed since the Microsoft Live era. I do not want to create a new Microsoft account. I would like to understand whether this account is associated with an unmanaged Entra directory, orphaned tenant, or other Azure provisioning issue that can be repaired.
