Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
In classic Outlook for Windows, there are two common ways to add someone to the Safe Senders List:
- From an email message:
- Select a message from the sender.
- On the Home tab, in the Delete group, select Block or Junk.
- Select Never Block Sender.
- Manually add an address or domain:
- On the Home tab, in the Delete group, select Block or Junk > Junk E-mail Options.
- Open the Safe Senders tab.
- Select Add.
- Enter the email address or domain to trust, then select OK.
- Repeat for additional entries if needed.
Optional settings in classic Outlook:
- Select Also trust e-mail from my Contacts to treat contacts as safe senders.
- Select Automatically add people I e-mail to the Safe Senders List to add recipients automatically.
Important: If the mailbox is hosted on Exchange or Exchange Online, changes to the Safe Senders list might not be recognized by Exchange or Exchange Online. Messages from senders added to Safe Senders can still end up in Junk Email. In that case, contact the administrator.
