Azure: Quota Blocked for GPT-6 Astra / GPT-6.1 Sol Models — Urgent Assistance Needed for Time-Sensitive Launch
Problem description
I am unable to obtain usable Azure AI Foundry quota for GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol, which are important to my company's upcoming product launch. Despite submitting multiple official quota requests and verifying that the Foundry resource is healthy, both models remain at 0 TPM, preventing deployment.
Environment
Microsoft Foundry / Azure OpenAI models, with West US 3 as the preferred deployment region. The subscription is associated with Microsoft for Startups and is currently assigned Free Tier. Models affected:
- gpt-6-astra
- gpt-6.1-sol What I've already tried I have:
- confirmed that the Foundry resource is healthy;
- verified that the target models are supported;
- checked the Foundry quota page;
- submitted multiple official quota requests;
- verified the subscription quota tier through the Microsoft.CognitiveServices/quotaTiers API. The subscription currently has quota for some lower-tier models, but GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol both remain at 0 TPM.
Current status
I am seeking a human review or escalation of the subscription's quota-tier / entitlement status so that an initial usable GPT-6 quota can be provided. The subscription is currently assigned Free Tier, and this issue is time-sensitive because our product is planned for production launch within approximately one month.
Because this appears to require subscription-specific investigation, I would prefer not to publish account identifiers or other private subscription information in this public forum.
Could a Microsoft engineer please continue this through the linked Azure Support Request and coordinate the case with the appropriate Microsoft for Startups team, so that they can work with the Azure AI / Microsoft Foundry quota team on the subscription's quota-tier and GPT-6 entitlement issue?
My main request at this stage is assistance from the Microsoft for Startups team in coordinating this quota issue with the appropriate Azure teams, rather than being redirected back to the self-service quota request process.
