How do I turn off Copilot? (Office for Mac)

It keeps popping up when I'm typing a document - VERY annoying!!!

I don't know how to do that. Under "Enable CoPilot" it has a another check box for "Add a Copilot summary to every document." I keep checking it, closing MS, then re-opening it, but it won't turn off

Take a screenshot of that button to help identify it.

To take a screenshot, press the PRINT SCREEN (PRTSC) key on your keyboard to open the screenshot tool. Then, use your mouse to select the area you want to capture.

You can also search for "Snipping Tool" or "Screenshot Tool" in the search bar.

Images are usually saved in your user folder under Pictures > Screenshots.

As far as I know, the PrintScreen key only exists on PC keyboards. On a Mac, you can take a screen shot if you press Shift+Command+4 and then drag a rectangle around the area you want to capture. For more on this, see https://support.apple.com/en-us/102646 .

It's a Mac, personal account, floating colored icon on the right side. I want to disable it completely - I'm an excellent writer and it's driving me nuts!

The icon went away, but in "Preferences," it still wants to do a "Copilot summary" (whatever that is) and I can't turn it off - have tried multiple times.

I'm not sure which option you are referring to. Could you take a screen shot and upload it? Of course, you should hide any personal or sensitive information in the picture before uploading it (if applicable).

Are you using Word on Mac, Windows, or Android?

Is your account personal, corporate, or for students?

What exactly appears? A floating button in the corner, an icon in the left margin, or the text "Draft with Copilot" at the top of a blank page?

Do you want to disable Copilot completely or just get the button out of the way?
