Suspended processes are just removed from the memory in order to improve system performance. Nothing to be fixed.

2026-10-03T19:59:40.72+00:00 The problem goes beyond that. The Lock Screen and the Shell Experience are also suspended. Response time is VERY slow and the mouse cursor has a mind of its own and goes all over the place, especially when using a browser (Google)...

2026-10-03T20:53:10.13+00:00 As far as I know, Windows decides which processes can be temporarily suspended. If you want to unsuspend some of these processes, then open Resource Monitor -> CPU tab, find the suspended proces, right click and select the "Resume process" option.

2026-10-04T06:00:04.8+00:00 I tried that but it but it would not resume. And now I’ve lost my mouse and cannot click on anything. Even keyboard navigation does not work. My whole sustem is completely locked up. Cannot do anything. Am sending this answer via my iPhone. What to do???

2026-10-04T06:34:37.3533333+00:00 I can only confirm that your issue has nothing to do with the suspended state. Windows Shell Experience Host and few other services are currently suspended on my computer too, but the system works perfectly well.
Have you tried to reboot your computer?
If you are using a desktop computer with wireless keyboard and mouse, then try to insert fresh batteries

2026-10-04T06:49:50.1733333+00:00 I’ve rebooted many times during the past 24 hours… both cold abd restart. Nothing helps. I don’t think its a virus as I have Kaspersky running including their VPN. And up until 24 hours ago, I had no problems with the system, checked it for viruses regularly, and have enough space, etc. on the disk. It just started acting funny during a routine session in Google Chrome on a reputable website. The mouse cursor would suddenly change to scroll and go all over the place. It was downhill from there. I just rebooted again and everything comes up normal but all navigation is frozen as well as the mouse. Screens, taskbar, widgets are all there but cannot access any of them.

2026-10-04T14:20:17.33+00:00 It os a desktop, Dell Model Tower Plus EBT2250 with 32 GB DDR5, 1TB Solid State M.2 PCie NVMe Drive, Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor, running very latest version of WIN 11 on MS 365 Personal Edition. Set up and installed in Feb 2026. Graphics board is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 with 8 GB GDDR7.

2026-10-04T14:46:22.8833333+00:00 Is your keyboard and mouse still not functional? Have you tried to replace batteries? You can also try to connect a wired keyboard and mouse.
It is difficult to perform any diagnostics of the system if keyboard and mouse are not responding.
If you gain access to these input devices, you can run diagnostics from the Dell site.

2026-10-04T15:03:06.5933333+00:00 Hmmmm.... The battery in my mouse was still good, but I replaced it anyway. Also replaced the batteries in my keyboard and rebooted... I now have control back with both peripherals. (Could it have been as simple as this to resolve the isssue???) I will test my browser (Google Chrome) where I first experienced the divergent problem. I will also test the diagnostics on the Dell site. I'll let you know if things are back to "normal". Thank you very much, so far, for all your help !!
