For Microsoft Q&A, you can post:

Hi, If your microphone is not recording sound in Microsoft Teams, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. In Teams, go to Settings > Devices and ensure the correct microphone is selected.
    2. Select Make a test call to verify whether Teams can detect your voice.
    3. Check Windows Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and make sure microphone access is enabled for Teams.
    4. Verify that the microphone is not muted and is set as the default recording device in Sound Settings.
    5. Disconnect and reconnect the headset or microphone and test again.
    6. Close Teams completely, reopen it, and check for Teams updates.
    7. Test the microphone in another application (Voice Recorder, Zoom, or Web Browser) to determine whether the issue is Teams-specific or a device issue. If the problem persists, please provide:
    • Teams desktop, web, or mobile version
    • Wired headset, Bluetooth headset, or built-in microphone
    • Whether the microphone works in other applications
    • Any error message received This information will help identify the root cause and provide more specific troubleshooting steps. Hope this helps.

    Hello,

Welcome to the Microsoft Windows Community.

Good afternoon. Microsoft features rely on your device's audio drivers; please follow these steps to try and resolve the issue:

    1. Right-click the speaker icon.

    2. Sound settings > Input > Check if your microphone is detected; if not, click "Add device."

    3. Once installed (or if already active), close the windows.

    4. Press Win+I > Privacy & Security > Microphone.

    5. Enable all microphone permissions.

Restart your computer and let us know the result.
