Hi, Shrijit Sahu
I wouldn’t call this a confirmed feature-flag bug yet. One detail worth checking first: Microsoft’s release notes identify build 26200 as 25H2, while 26H2 uses build 26300. Check Settings > System > About so the version in any bug report is accurate.
Here are some suggestions you can try:
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, open Task Manager > Details, right-click SearchHost.exe, and select End task. Open Search again; Windows starts that process automatically.
If the idle pane is still blank, use the official ResetWindowsSearchBox.ps1 procedure in Fix problems in Windows Search. It resets Search without affecting personal files, though results may briefly be less relevant. Follow the article’s execution-policy instructions rather than changing policy permanently.
Test Search in a new local Windows account. If it works there, the issue is likely tied to the original profile. If it is blank in both accounts, submit the screenshot and correct build details through Feedback Hub > Desktop Environment > Search.
I wouldn’t add more registry values or force feature flags at this point; the missing toggle alone doesn’t establish that either will restore the pane.
