Hi , first open Contacts >> Lists on your iPhone. Are your contacts under iCloud or Outlook? If they’re in iCloud, they’ll need importing into Outlook first—Outlook’s Save Contacts option only copies contacts to your phone.

Once they’re in Outlook, use the same account on your PC and iPhone Outlook app.

For birthdays, open Outlook.com on your PC >> Calendar >> Add calendar >> Birthdays and enable it. This uses birthdays saved in your Outlook contacts.

Use one of these supported paths, depending on where the contacts currently live.

    1. If the contacts are in the iPhone Outlook app account
    • On iPhone, open Outlook > tap the profile picture > Settings > tap the email account.
    • Turn on Save Contacts.
    • In iPhone Settings > Apps > Contacts > Default Account, choose the Outlook account.
    • Also allow Outlook to access contacts: Settings > Outlook > turn on Contacts and Background App Refresh.

This helps Outlook on iPhone use and expose the Outlook account contacts on the device.

    1. If calendar and contacts are not syncing because the account was added as IMAP or POP
    • Calendar and contacts do not sync when the account is set up as IMAP or POP.
    • Remove and re-add the account as an Exchange ActiveSync account.
    • In the Outlook app, open Calendar and check that the account’s Calendar is selected.
    1. If the contacts are stored in iCloud and need to appear in Outlook on the PC
    • Install iCloud for Windows.
    • Open the iCloud app, sign in, select Contacts and Calendars, and click Apply.
    • Open Outlook on the PC. The iCloud contacts and calendars should then synchronize with Outlook.
    1. If the contacts are stored in Outlook on the PC and need to sync to iPhone through iTunes
    • Connect the iPhone to the PC.
    • In iTunes, select the device under Devices.
    • Open the Info tab.
    • Under Contacts, select Sync contacts from > Outlook.
    • Choose All contacts or Selected groups, then click Apply.

    Important notes:

    • Back up both the Outlook account and the Apple device before starting sync.
    • If using a Microsoft Exchange Server account with more than 500 contacts, all contacts might not sync unless Cached Exchange Mode is enabled.
    • For Outlook mobile, if email works but contacts/calendar do not, verify the app has permission to access contacts and that the account is not configured as IMAP.

For birthdays: birthdays sync only as part of the contact data or related calendar data supported by the account and sync method in use. The supported guidance here is to make sure contacts/calendar sync is enabled through Outlook app permissions, Exchange ActiveSync setup, iCloud for Windows, or iTunes/Outlook sync on PC.
