If access to the recovery email and phone number is lost, use the sign-in flow and select I don't have any of these when asked to verify identity.

For a personal Microsoft account such as Outlook.com/Hotmail:

    1. Start sign-in to the Microsoft account.
    2. At Verify your identity, select I don't have any of these.
    3. Follow the prompts to replace the security info.
    4. After the security info is replaced, there is a 30-day wait before sign-in is available.

If the password is also not known, submit the account recovery form:

Also check that the sign-in address was entered correctly, including the correct domain such as .com or .co.uk.

If the account name is not recognized, use:

    Hello @Brian Carney

I understand how concerning it is to lose access when the verification email is incorrect and the registered phone number is no longer available.

Please check whether the account is still signed in through Outlook, a browser, a Windows PC, Xbox, OneDrive, or another Microsoft app. If you find an active session, do not sign out. Open the Microsoft account’s Advanced security options, select Add a new way to sign in or verify, and add an email address, mobile number, or Microsoft Authenticator that you can currently access. Only remove the outdated information after the new method has been successfully added and tested. Microsoft recommends keeping more than one current verification option on an account.

If the account is not signed in anywhere, please let us know whether you still know the password and whether two-step verification was previously enabled. These details affect which recovery options may remain available.

Please feel free to let us know if you have any further updates.
