    Hello Jaswen Ashley,

I’m sorry you’re unable to save your Word documents because the app keeps signing you out. The 7q6ca tag has appeared in similar Office sign-in cases and may be related to cached authentication data.

    Please try the following:

Close Word and all other Microsoft 365 apps. Press Windows + R, enter %LocalAppData%\Microsoft, then rename the OneAuth folder to OneAuth.old and IdentityCache to IdentityCache.old. Restart the computer and reopen Word. These folders will be recreated automatically.

If the issue remains, open Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Microsoft 365 > Modify, then run Quick Repair. Try Online Repair if needed.

Please let me know how it goes after trying these steps, and I'll be glad to continue looking into it with you.

This usually happens in two supported scenarios:

    1. The Office app is signed in with an account that does not have permission to upload to the OneDrive location being used.
    2. A known save issue is affecting Office, especially if the app is out of date.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. In Word, check which account is signed in.
      • Go to File > Account.
      • Make sure Word is signed in with the same Microsoft account that owns the OneDrive location where the file is being saved.
      • If a different work, school, or personal account is shown, sign out and sign back in with the correct one.
    2. Save the file locally first so work is not lost.
      • Go to File > Save As.
      • Choose This PC or Browse.
      • Save to a local folder such as Documents or Desktop.
    3. If saving to OneDrive, sign in again when prompted.
      • In File > Save As, choose the OneDrive location only after the correct account is connected.
      • OneDrive appears in the save list when the account is available.
    4. Update Office immediately.
      • Open any Office app.
      • Go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
      • This is the documented fix for a known issue where Office files may fail to save.
    5. If the message is specifically UPLOAD BLOCKED, the cause is the account mismatch.
      • The Microsoft 365 app must be signed in with the same account that has permission to upload to that OneDrive.

If the problem continues after confirming the account and updating Office, use Microsoft support for technical help.
