My phone broke and this one that I have in an old one but it does not let me enter my account through the authenticator app, and I have to do things with that account. How can I fix it?

When you try and recover the backup on the Authenticator app, does it give you an error message when trying to sign into your Microsoft account?
Thanks,
Nathan
