I successfully installed Windows 11 26H2 and now my sound doesn't work. ALL audi comes only from the built-in tower speaker and not from my sound system. The systems sees my RealTek Audio device and I've got no additional sound processing software installed. I've changed nothing. I didn't even know my new Dell Optiplex i7-14900 tower with 64GB RAM, a CD/DVD drive and 2TB SSD had an internal speaker. My sound system has worked for years, but not since upgrading to 26H2. Any suggestions?
26H2 has caused loss of audio and related problems in some cases. Unfortunately there is no information yet about a fix.

So, the audio is connected via the Realtek driver, but no sound is coming out?
Is the Realtek driver recognized in Device Manager?
There could be a USB driver issue; if your Realtek driver relies on the chipset connected to the USB controller, that might be the cause.

Search for msinfo32.exe in the search bar, take a screenshot, and post it here so we can see the correct laptop model or desktop configuration.

The problem is the Windows 11 26H2 update, not anything on my PC. I uninstalled 26H2 and rolled back to 25H2 until Microsoft offers fixes to the problems 26H2 causes. Unfortunately, my systems says that 25H2 is damaged. I've attempted 3 reinstallations of 25H2 but it never completes. In the meantime most of the Security Updates won't install either. I'm not willing to disconnect EVERYTHING from my PC and perform a "clean" boot because there's no way to restore the Initial apps and settings that AI wants me to try. I'll just wait for Microsoft to fix the problem. At least my sound is working again.
