Training: Instruction to develop new skills.
Hi @Bryan Urias
The clue is the institution box clearing itself. On that form you can't type a school name freely. You have to pick it from the suggestions that appear as you type, and if you click away without picking one, the field empties. When the form then submits with no institution attached, it fails with "Unable to confirm your University ID". The "verification complete" text is just a leftover label from an earlier step, not an actual result, so ignore it.
Try it this way:
- Open https://azure.microsoft.com/free/students in a fresh InPrivate or Incognito window and click Start free.
- Fill in your details, and in the institution box, type the first few letters of your school slowly, then wait for the dropdown and click your school in the list. Don't press Tab or click elsewhere until it's selected.
- Use your official student email, then submit.
Does your school show up in that dropdown at all when you type it? If it doesn't appear, that means it isn't in Microsoft's academic list, and there's a different verification route we can use instead. Let me know and I'll walk you through it.
If this helped, please click Accept Answer so other students hitting this error can find it.
