I cannot edit any of my downloads without bringing kicked out of the Microsoft word. and it is not saving any of my work.

    It says "we're sorry, but Word has run into and error that is preventing it from working correctly. Word will need to be closed as a result.'' then it says, " repair now, help, close." I click repair now but nothing happens and it doesn't let me do any editing, nor does it save any of my work.

    Thanks for the additional detail. The Repair Now option often fails, which you may already have noticed.

    Instead, exit all Office apps and run an Online Repair. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/lifecycle/repair-an-office-application .

    Before you begin, verify that you can access your Office product at https://account.microsoft.com/services . That way, you know that you can reinstall, which is usually the final step of an Online Repair.
