Chat unable to open after the new Copilot update.

The issue for my account is ever since the new copilot update started, it has been failing to open 1 specific chat of mine, which happens to be a chat that I used the most. The chat name still shows up in the side bar with the rest of the chats, but when I click on that chat to open it, it loads for sometime, but then takes me to a different chat and says "unable to open, please try again." Or something along those lines. This has been happening for about over 10 days, I tried to wait it out hoping it'll just fix itself, but turned out nothing happened. This specific chat is really long and I have been using it consistently, for about 5 to 6 months, maybe a little less or a little more. But everything was working fine until this new update has started. I kindly request to get my chat open as soon as possible and working normally again.

    Welcome Anonymous,

Thank you for reporting this issue. Since the problem only affects one specific chat while other chats continue to open normally, I would like to gather a bit more information before suggesting further steps.

    Could you please confirm:

    • Are you using Copilot with a personal Microsoft account (Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, Live.com), or a work/school account?
    • Does the same chat fail to open on both the Copilot website and the Copilot app, or have you only tested one platform?
    • If you open Copilot in an InPrivate/Incognito window, can that specific chat be opened?
    • Approximately how long has the conversation become? For example, does it contain hundreds of prompts and responses, uploaded files, or generated images?

As an initial test, please try the following:

    • Open Copilot in an InPrivate/Incognito browser window and sign in to your account.
    • Attempt to open the affected conversation directly from the chat history.
    • If it still fails, sign out of Copilot, close the browser completely, then sign back in and test again.
    • Let us know whether the error occurs only with that conversation or if any other older conversations show similar behavior.

    Looking forward to your update.
