I have a legitimate Office Home & Student 2019 one-time purchase installed on my old PC. Word shows that it belongs to my old Microsoft account. I have the original product key. I am transferring the license to a new PC that I own. The license does not appear under Services & subscriptions, and the product key has already been redeemed. I need the Office 2019 installer and activation/transfer assistance.

    Hello Stewart Price,

Because the product key has already been redeemed, you do not need to enter it again.

The key should have linked Office Home & Student 2019 to the Microsoft account used during the original activation.

    Please try the following:

    1. On the old computer, open Word and select File > Account. Note the Microsoft account shown under Belongs to.
    2. Sign in to Microsoft Services & subscriptions using that exact account.
    3. If Office Home & Student 2019 appears, select Install and run the installer on the new computer.
    4. Uninstall Office from the old computer, since a one-time-purchase Office license can only be installed on one computer at a time.
    5. Open Word on the new computer and sign in using the same Microsoft account to activate it.

Since Office does not currently appear under Services & subscriptions, Microsoft Support may need to verify the purchase and manually assist with the license transfer. Contact them through this flow:

    1. Open a website link - Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the box below "We're here to help", type Microsoft 365, click "Get Help", and then click "Contact Support" below.
    3. In this section, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account.
    4. Select "Microsoft 365 and Office" under Products & Services, select "Technical Support" as the category, and click to confirm
    5. You can select " Chat with a support agent in your web browser " to access the chat window.

Have the original product key and any available proof of purchase ready.

Please note that Office 2019 has reached the end of its support lifecycle and is no longer supported by Microsoft on 14 October 2025. We recommend upgrading to a currently supported version of Office to continue receiving security updates and technical support.

Feel free reply back to this post if you need further assistance, I'll be happy to help.
