    Hi coolguy,

Along with the details David requested, could you confirm whether only the microphone shows “No input device” or whether your speakers are also missing?

In the meantime, please try these steps:

    1. Open Device Manager, then expand Audio inputs and outputs and Sound, video and game controllers.
    2. If your audio device is listed, right-select it and choose Enable device if available. Then select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
    3. If no audio device appears, select View > Show hidden devices, followed by Action > Scan for hardware changes.
    4. Open Settings > Windows Update, check for updates, and look under Advanced options > Optional updates for any available audio-driver updates.
    5. Restart the computer after installing any updates. If Windows cannot find a suitable driver, download the latest Windows 11 audio driver directly from your computer manufacturer’s support website using the exact model number.

Please let me know what devices appear in Device Manager, especially if anything has a yellow warning symbol or is shown as an Unknown device. It would also help to know whether the issue began after a Windows update, driver update or another recent change.

When sharing the System Information screenshot, please crop or cover personal and device-identifying details, such as the device name, username or serial number.

Once you share the results, we’ll have a better idea of whether the issue is with the audio driver or Windows not detecting the hardware correctly.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

To be able to assist you better, please clarify the following:

    • Are you trying to play audio via internal speakers, external speakers, or headphones?
    • If it is an external speaker or headphones, does it have a standard audio connector (Jack connector) or a USB connector, or is it connected via Bluetooth?

Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    Looking forward to your reply.
