    Welcome manribut,

I understand how frustrating this can be when the Volume Mixer keeps disappearing and reappearing every few seconds.

To help narrow down the cause, could you please let us know:

    • Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?
    • Does the audio itself stop when the Volume Mixer disappears, or is it only the Volume Mixer window that closes and reopens?
    • Does this happen all the time, or only when a specific headset, speaker, or USB audio device is connected?

In the meantime, please try these quick checks:

    • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager
    • Expand Sound, video and game controllers
    • Right-click your audio device and select Properties, then check whether the device status shows any errors.
    • Also open Settings > System > Sound and tell me which audio device is selected as the output device.

I look forward to your update.

Right click your Start Button and open Device Manager.

Leave that window open to monitor your system.

When the volume mixer turns off and on, does the device list in Device Manager refresh and if so, are you able to see what device is appearing and disappearing.
