Hi @Salih
The stack trace alone is not enough to identify the root cause.
What I can tell from it is that the error is occurring in the Windows Forms Designer / .NET Design Tools component inside Visual Studio, specifically while trying to load project information (ProjectInfoProvider, DesignToolsClientLoader).
Common causes:
- Missing or incompatible .NET SDK version.
- Corrupted Visual Studio workload installation.
- Project targets a framework not installed on the machine.
- Designer failing to load a custom control or third-party component.
- Corrupted
.vs,bin, orobjfolders.
I'd start with:
- Close Visual Studio.
- Delete the
.vs,bin, andobjfolders from the solution. - Run:
BAT
dotnet --list-sdks
Show more lines
- Verify the SDK required by the project is installed.
- Run a Visual Studio Repair from the Visual Studio Installer.
However, the posted log is missing the actual exception message. It only shows the stack trace.
Please post:
- Visual Studio version.
- .NET version (.NET Framework, .NET 6, .NET 8, etc.).
- The first lines of the error message above the stack trace.
- Whether the error occurs when opening the project or opening a WinForms designer.
Without the exception message, we're only seeing where the error happened, not what actually caused it.
If this points you in the right direction, please consider marking it as helpful or accepted so others encountering the same Design Tools error can find it more easily.
