Turn Show Release Preview OFF if the goal is to stop preview builds from being offered.
Also turn off Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available in Settings > Windows Update, because that setting can cause optional preview updates to appear.
Checks to make:
- Open Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program.
- If the device shows as enrolled, select Stop getting preview builds.
- In Windows Update > Advanced options, keep Show Release Preview OFF.
- In Windows Update, turn Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available OFF.
If Windows Insider Program is unavailable in Settings, a policy may be blocking or controlling Insider build settings.
