How to fix issues with Microsoft Dynamics on Premises version 8.2 and Edge Browser

Hi

Our organisation is still using Microsoft Dynamics on premises version 8.2 and we have recently begun having several issues with the way some entities are displaying incorrectly.

The Out of the Box Intersect entity - Customer Relationships isn't showing the roles when using Edge, Edge in Private, Chrom, Chrome in Private, HOWEVER it DOES work when using Firefox, so this appears to be an issue specific to Dynamics on prem vs 8.2 using a Chromium based browser.

Will Microsoft be releasing a fix for this please?

    Hi Matt M,

    The fact that the roles appear correctly in Firefox but remain missing in both Edge and Chrome, including their private-browsing modes, points more toward a compatibility issue between the Dynamics 8.2 web client and Chromium-based browsers than a browser cache or extension issue.

    Dynamics CRM 2016/Dynamics 365 version 8.2 reached the end of extended support on January 14, 2026. Because the product is now outside its support lifecycle, Microsoft is unlikely to release a new compatibility fix for this behavior.

    Please check the exact Dynamics build under Settings > About and confirm that the environment is running the final available 8.2 update, version 8.2.28.11. If it is already fully updated, using Firefox may be the most practical temporary workaround while your organization plans an upgrade to a supported Dynamics release.
