The process of installing, configuring, and customizing Visual Studio to support development workflows across languages, platforms, and workloads.
Hi @Werewolf BX13 ,
Thank you for providing the details. Since Repair did not help, I'd recommend resetting the Visual Studio Installer and then retrying the installation:
- Close the Visual Studio Installer if it is running.
- Delete the following Installer folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\Installer
- Download and run the latest Visual Studio Community bootstrapper:
- Run the bootstrapper again as Administrator.
This reinstalls the Visual Studio Installer components and resets installer metadata, which can resolve certain installation and update failures.
If the installation still fails, please collect the setup logs using the Visual Studio Log Collection Tool (Collect.exe) and share the generated vslogs.zip file.
The log collection tool can be downloaded from: https://aka.ms/vscollect
The generic "Something Went Wrong" message does not include the actual error details. The setup logs may provide additional information about the failure.
If you found my response helpful or informative, I would greatly appreciate it if you could follow this guide for your confirmation.
Thank you.
