Hello Bhavishya Garg,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A,
This error usually means Azure could not match the verified student status from GitHub to the account you are signing in with, since the two systems verify students separately. Go through these in order:
- Check the emails match. In GitHub, go to Settings > Emails. Your college email must be added, verified, and set as Primary. Then use that same email as the Microsoft account you sign in with.
- Start from the GitHub route. Open the Azure benefit in your GitHub Student Developer Pack and use the link or code it gives you. On the Azure student verification page, choose Sign in with GitHub and enter your GitHub username, not your email. See Sign in with your GitHub credentials.
- Use a clean browser session. Try an InPrivate or incognito window with no other Microsoft or work accounts signed in. A leftover session can send you to the wrong offer.
- Try direct verification instead. Go to the Azure for Students page, select Start free, and verify with your college email. If your college domain isn't recognized, use the option to verify another way.
- Check you don't already have a subscription. The offer is limited to one Azure for Students subscription per eligible customer and can't be combined with another offer. If you already used a free trial or pay-as-you-go on the same account, the offer can be blocked.
You can also confirm the eligibility rules in the Azure for Students FAQ: you must be a full-time student at an accredited, degree-granting institution and verify through your college email.
