To better narrow this down, could you confirm whether the email prints too large from all messages or only from certain emails?

In the meantime, please try this quick test:

Open an email in a separate window.
Select File > Print
In the print preview, check whether the content already appears enlarged before printing.
If it does, try changing the print style:
- Select Print Options
- Under Print style, choose Memo Style (or another available style)
- Click Page Setup and ensure the paper size matches the paper loaded in your printer.

This is only happening when using the print function from Outlook 2024 Classic.

The Print Preview looks normal size, but when actually printed appears to be enlarged to about 150%.

For example, printing out an Amazon Return email, the QR code is unreadable because of the size, and the word Amazon on the page only shows the "Ama", the rest of the word doesn't show.

Any other documents from outside of Outlook print fine, such as pdf, doc.

I'm using an Epson XP-400 printer accessed wireless over my home network.

Thanks for your help. This is a really vexing problem.

did not solve problem. using the Print function with Outlook 2024 Classic, the print preview appears fine, but the actual printer document appears enlarged to about 150%. anything printed outside of Outlook is fine. Using Epson XP-400 printer connected wirelessly.

Some test, if your would please

1 -- Word Print

Create a new Word document.

Copy/Paste the body of an email into the Word doc.

Print the Word doc.

I ask because Classic Outlook uses the Word engine for printing and this will help determine if the problem is just Outlook or a shared Office component.

2 -- Try Outlook in Safe Mode.

This disables any Outlook Add-Ins that might be messing with the print out.

3 -- Compose, send, and print a Plain Text email to yourself.

This will help determine if the problem is only with HTML printing.

Try printing your e-mail using the built-in Microsoft Print to PDF driver to create a PDF version. See the screen shot below. First choose Microsoft Print to PDF in the Printer drop down and then click the Print button.

Open the PDF in Adobe Reader and see if you can make a printout of the PDF.
