If you do not want the MSN news to appear on the Start and Home pages in Edge, at the top right of the home page image, click the gear icon.

On the resulting panel, you can toggle off the 'Show Content' button.

In Edge, you can also change the Home and Start pages to your preferred page or search engine, like Google.com.

Click the 3 dots at the top right of Edge and select Settings.

On the left of Settings, click 'Start, Home and New Tab page, and in there, you can enter the URL of the website you want to see when you start Edge or URL of a search engine like www.google.com

To stop MSN content from appearing, use the method that matches where it is showing:

    1. If MSN appears on the Microsoft Edge new tab page or homepage
      • Open a new tab in Edge.
      • Select the settings cog in the upper-right corner.
      • Choose Custom mode, then set Content to Content Off.
      • If only a reduced view is preferred, choose Focused mode instead.
    2. If MSN stories appear in the MSN feed itself
      • On a story, select the menu next to the news item and choose Hide stories from... or Block.
      • To manage blocked publishers later, go to Blocked list in My Interests on MSN.
    3. If MSN appears through Edge notifications
      • In Edge, go to Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Site permissions > All sites.
      • Select the site and set Notifications to Block.
    4. If pop-ups are the issue in Edge
      • In Edge, open Settings.
      • Go to Cookies and site permissions > Pop-ups and redirects.
      • Make sure Block (recommended) is turned on.
    5. If MSN/news appears in Windows search or taskbar surfaces
      • Open Settings.
      • Go to Privacy & Security > Search permissions.
      • Turn off Show search highlights.

These steps remove or reduce MSN/news surfaces in Edge and Windows, but the context does not provide a full system-wide method to block the MSN website everywhere on the computer.
