A program that grants points for using Bing search, which users can redeem for gift cards, sweepstakes entries, or charitable donations.
For personal Microsoft accounts, Microsoft now says you can no longer add a phone number as a new security method. This method is being phased out. See official document here.
If you need to verify your Bing Reward, the supported alternative to entering a phone number is QR-code verification through the Bing mobile app. Microsoft officially identifies this as an alternative to SMS, and users have successfully redeemed rewards with it when SMS verification failed. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/rewards/use-qr-code-verification-to-redeem-microsoft-rewards
Can you confirm these are the steps you took
Sign in to the Microsoft Rewards website at rewards.microsoft.com and choose a reward for redemption.
When prompted to verify your account, select the Verify with the Bing app option.
Using your mobile device, scan the QR code shown in the Rewards site.
After scanning, enter the 6-digit verification code and select Verify.
Return to the original redemption screen to complete the redemption.
These are a few suggestions if the above steps failed.
If QR code verification doesn’t work, try the following:
- Make sure your browser and operating system are up to date.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies.
- Turn off VPNs, proxies, or third-party security software temporarily.
- Try a different browser, device, or network.
