Hi, @Joseph Peter Guidara SteelersJourney

It sounds like Microsoft Edge is no longer suggesting websites from your browsing history when you start typing.

If you haven’t tried it yet, first, in Edge go to:

Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Search and connected experiences > Address bar and search > Search suggestions and filters

Make sure "Show me search and site suggestions using my typed characters" is turned on.

If the issue still persists, to help narrow down the issue:

  1. Are you using a normal Edge window, or InPrivate browsing?
  2. If you open Edge history by pressing Ctrl + H, do Amazon, Facebook, and the other sites you visit still appear there?
  3. Did this start after an Edge update or after changing any privacy/clear browsing data settings?

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

Thanks!

Perhaps you are referring to a feature of the Chrome browser called Quicksearch. The feature is still available in Chrome. I don't know if Microsoft Edge has a similar feature.

Important: Browser extensions called "QuickSearch" or "Quickseek" are well-known browser hijackers (malware) which will change your default search engine. Don't install them!

This behavior is controlled by Address bar suggestions in Edge. By default, the Address bar can suggest items from favorites, browsing history, previous searches, and the default search provider as characters are typed.

To turn that feature back on:

    1. In Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more > Settings.
    2. Select Privacy, search, and services.
    3. Select Search and connected experiences > Address bar and search > Search suggestions and filters.
    4. Turn on Show search and site suggestions using your typed characters.

If the expected sites still do not appear:

    • Make sure those sites are still in browsing history or favorites, since suggestions can come from those sources.
    • Check whether an extension changed search behavior. If needed, open Extensions > Manage Extensions and disable suspicious extensions.
    • Verify the default search engine under Privacy, search, and services > Search and connected experiences > Address bar and search > Search engine used in the address bar.

If an extension changed the default search engine before, removing or disabling that extension can help restore normal suggestions.
