how to stop the messages that this version is about to expire

If you are referring to a message saying that your version of Windows needs to be updated:

There is no supported method for removing that message, because it is a priority for Microsoft that all Windows computers are running the most recent version of the software.

There may be unsupported methods, that rely on interfering with Windows normal functioning, but I would never do that to my own computer, so I can't tell you how to do that.

That message can appear for different reasons, so the exact wording and Windows version are important.

Please press Windows key + R, type winver and press Enter.

To help narrow this down:

1. What Windows 10 version and OS Build does winver show?
2. What is the exact message saying the version is about to expire?
3. Are you enrolled in the Windows Insider Program under Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program?

If this is an Insider build, the build itself may have an expiration date and will need to be updated or moved back to a stable Windows release.
