Issue with night light not functioning properly

I use an HP Pavillion Laptop 16, GTx 1660 TI and i5-10300h

Hello, I recently updated my graphics card drivers as of 9/18/2026. I haven't updated my Nvidia drivers in 3-4 months at this point. There have been serious complaints about the bugginess and issues with the new Nvidia drivers. When I updated my Nvidia drivers, my nightlight stopped functioning normally. My nightlight doesn't turn on and off when I press the button to turn it on/off, in both the taskbar and the normal display settings. Furthermore, when click turn off nightlight in taskbar, the nightlight that is in the display settings still is turned on. I tried uninstalling my intel graphics drivers as well as my graphics card drivers, even using ddu to roll back to an older version of the drivers, yet nothing seems to work. I use night light a lot to avoid eye strain especially at nightly work hours, so I would really appreciate advice/assistance.

    I do often see this, the latest version of driving causing issues. Go to NVDIA's official website, find the driver list for your specific GPU, install an older version instead, that typically can address this issue.

    If you need assistance locating this, can you share with me two screenshots please?

    1. Go to Device Manager > Display Adapters, I would like to see what's listed.
    2. Please type msinfo32.exe in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then share a screenshot of the pop up.
