Enhancement Request: Single Registration for a Recurring Event Series

A valuable enhancement to Microsoft Teams Events would be the ability to support a single registration for recurring event series. Currently, registration works well for individual events; however, organizations that host recurring programs must manage multiple registrations or calendar invitations. For example, we offer a weekly meditation series and would like participants to register once and automatically receive all future sessions on their calendar.

Suggested Capabilities

Create a recurring event series with a single registration form.

Automatically add all occurrences of the series to a participant's calendar after registration.

Maintain the same Teams meeting link across the series.

Automatically update participant calendars when additional sessions are added to the series.

Provide registration and attendance reporting at both the series and individual session levels.

Business Value

This enhancement would improve the experience for both organizers and participants by reducing administrative effort, eliminating the need for repeated registrations, and creating a more seamless experience for recurring programs such as wellness sessions, training series, office hours, and community events.

For our weekly meditation program, participants often attend regularly. A one-time registration process with automatic calendar enrollment would simplify participation, improve attendance, and provide a consistent experience through a single Teams meeting link.

Since the product development team does not actively monitor this forum, this is the most effective way to ensure your voice reaches them and that this feature will be considered for future improvements.
