Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Hi Leslie Tidwell,
I understand how inconvenient it is when new messages appear on your phone but not in Classic Outlook on your laptop.
Could you please confirm what type of email account you added to Outlook, such as Outlook.com, Microsoft 365, Gmail, or another IMAP/POP account? Also, do the missing messages appear when you sign in directly through Outlook on the web or your email provider’s webmail?
In the meantime, try searching in Classic Outlook for the exact sender or subject of one affected message. If the message is found outside the Inbox, check File > Manage Rules & Alerts for a rule that may be moving it. You can also open the View tab, select Reset View, and make sure the message list is not limited to Unread or another filter.
If the messages are visible in webmail but remain missing only in the laptop app after these checks, this would point more toward the local Outlook configuration. In that case, installing the latest Office updates and testing with a new Outlook profile would be appropriate next steps.
Please let me know the account type and what you see in webmail, as that will help narrow this down. Thank you so much for your understanding.
