I'm trying to set up passwordless login on upsers and I am not receiving any notifications. I signed into my Microsoft account and to change my security info I need to approve an authenticator request but it is not set up yet. It does not allow me to enter my password and the sign in another way options are both using authenticator.

    Hi @Christopher Pearson ,

I believe that it means your Microsoft account already has passwordless sign-in turned on, tied to an Authenticator registration that's on an old phone or was never finished. Microsoft hides the password option in that case, so the notification goes to a device you can't reach.

Could you follow the below points first and let me know how it goes?

    • On the approval screen, click "I can't use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now" or "Use a different verification option." If the only options listed are Authenticator, no email or phone is verified on the account.
    • Reset the password instead. Click "Forgot password?" at sign-in). If a recovery email or phone is on file, you'll get a code there. Resetting the password often removes the passwordless block and lets you sign in normally.
    • If it's a work or school account,, Microsoft can't fix it for you. Your IT admin can reset your MFA methods or issue a Temporary Access Pass so you can register the Authenticator on your current phone.

Let me know how it goes, I'd be happy to help and if it works please don't forget to accept the answer so the others can get the answer if they have the same issue.
