If OneDrive shows only about 1.8 GB used but still says storage is full, the most common causes are:

    1. Items in the OneDrive Recycle Bin are still counting toward storage.
    2. A shared folder added to OneDrive is using space from the account.
    3. For a work or school account, the organization may have exceeded its pooled storage limit.
    4. If this is a personal Microsoft account, storage status can also be affected when the Microsoft storage quota changed after a subscription expired or renewal failed.

    Try this:

    1. Sign in to OneDrive on the web.
    2. Select the Storage used link in the lower-left corner.
    3. Review the largest files list.
    4. Delete files that are no longer needed.
    5. Empty the Recycle Bin. This is required to actually free space.

If using the OneDrive sync app for a work or school account:

    1. Select the blue OneDrive icon in the notification area.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Select Manage storage.
    4. Review the largest files page and remove unnecessary files.
    5. Permanently delete items from the Recycle Bin.

    Important effects when over quota:

    • New files cannot be uploaded, edited, or synced.
    • Existing files remain, but they become read-only.
    • If the account stays over quota for a long time, files may eventually be deleted.

If this is a disk full message while moving many files into OneDrive, that can also mean the local computer needs temporary free space. In that case, free local disk space first, then complete sync, and optionally use Clear space on synced files to make them online-only.

    If the problem continues:

    • For a personal account, use Contact Microsoft Support.
    • For a work or school account, contact the organization’s IT helpdesk or admin.

    Hi,

I will walk through a few steps with you. Some of these are just to help figure out what is wrong, not to fix it right away. So if nothing changes after a step, that is normal. I will keep going until we solve it.

Please take a screenshot of the https://onedrive.live.com/?v=managestorage&sw=bypassConfig page, and I will troubleshoot it further seeing the screenshot.

I look forward to hearing from you to get the results of the troubleshooting.
