How to reduce size of my desktop screen.

When I play my game which I downloaded from Microsoft App Store, Seekers Notes Hidden Mystery, it takes over the entire desktop so I can't even see my taskbar to know the time. It started about 6 weeks ago. I have tried everything. Support had me backup my computer and uninstall windows 11.

I've been able to uninstall the game and any files associated with the game and the first play session works. I can see the taskbar and the 3 dots in upper right corner. However, if I close the game and reopen the same issue occurrs. Now that workaround no longer works. I have tried every combination of power off, logging into microsoft, not logging into microsoft.

There has to a setting somewhere that I can change back.

And yes, I know how to click windows key and press D. The entire game window disappears. When I open it, it once again takes over the entire screen. And no, the 3 dots in upper right corner do NOT appear when I hover. I have to click "esc" key and it closes the game.

I have already reached out to the game creators and they have clearly put it back onto a Windows operating issue.

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with this. While the game is open and taking over the entire screen, could you please try pressing:

Windows key + Shift + Enter

This shortcut has been used to toggle supported Windows Store/UWP apps between full-screen and windowed mode. You can also try Windows key + Down Arrow once or twice to see whether Windows restores the game from its maximized/full-screen state.

If the problem still occurs, could you let us know whether Windows + Shift + Enter has any effect, and whether the game has any Display, Full Screen, Windowed, or Graphics options inside its own settings?

That worked! You are amazing! I've been working on this problem for several weeks and no one else at Microsoft support could help.

    Thank you!
