If this is Word on macOS, the current documented fix for Error 0x0 / License not found is to update Office fully and make sure macOS is version 12 or later.

    1. Confirm macOS is 12 or higher.
    2. Close all Office apps.
    3. Open Finder > Applications > Microsoft AutoUpdate.
      • If Microsoft AutoUpdate is not visible there, check: /Library/Application Support/Microsoft/MAU2.0/
    4. Install all available Office updates:
      • Select Update All, or update Word and the other Office apps individually.
    5. After updates finish, open Word again and test activation.

If Office was installed from the App Store instead of microsoft.com:

    1. Close all Office apps.
    2. Open the App Store.
    3. Select Updates.
    4. Update Microsoft Word or choose Update All.
    5. Reopen Word and test.

Since activation and payment already appear complete, also verify the subscription is active under the same Microsoft account used in Word:

    • Go to Services & subscriptions and confirm the Microsoft 365 subscription is present.
    • If payment recently had an issue, check Payment options and correct any payment error.

If Word still shows Unlicensed Product or activation errors after updating, the supported next checks are:

    1. Sign in to Office with the account that was used to buy Office or Microsoft 365.
    2. Check whether multiple copies of Office are installed, because multiple installs can cause activation conflicts.
    3. Use the guided support for Office activation troubleshooting.

    Hi,

This error on Office for Mac is a known issue that has been resolved through updates: See: https://support.microsoft.com/support/known-issues/unknown-error-0x0-license-not-found-error-microsoft365-macos

    To isolate the issue:

What version of macOS are you using (for example, Ventura 13, Monterey 12, Sonoma 14, or Sequoia 15)?
