Billing Issue: Refund Request for Marketplace Claude Deployment — Unclear Charges and Policy Clarification
Problem description
I am seeking clarification on a billing issue related to a deployment of Claude through Azure AI Foundry. After deploying Claude, I was charged via the Azure Marketplace, which was unexpected since I anticipated the deployment to be covered by sponsored credits from an event. The Foundry experience did not clearly indicate that Claude was a third-party Marketplace offer, and I believe this led to an unintended charge.
Environment
Azure AI Foundry model deployment involving Claude in an unspecified region.
What I've already tried
I reviewed Microsoft's Marketplace refund policy, noting the 72-hour window and publisher approval requirements for refunds beyond that period. I also examined documentation indicating that Claude in Foundry is billed separately through Marketplace and is not covered by Azure sponsorship credits. No additional troubleshooting steps beyond this review are documented.
Current status
I am currently seeking guidance on whether my case can be escalated to obtain publisher approval for the refund or if there is a goodwill credit option due to the apparent lack of clear billing disclosures during deployment.
