STOCKHISTORY() was working again yesterday, but today it has stopped updating and is showing a "#CONNECTION" error.

Frank Duquette 65 Reputation points2026-09-16T11:55:34.18+00:00 Stock refresh is not working - getting error message is all my excel spreadsheets "you must be online" which of course I am and all other internet sites are working. I just logged in this morning 9/16. Must be a stie/server issue with the 3rd party provider. This is a real pain . Has anyone heard an ETA when this ill be resolved?

2026-09-16T12:01:38.8766667+00:00 Look's like MS or 3rd party now has changed the error message to "this service is not working now" vs you must be online. Only good news is that they must be working on the outage!!!!!

When it goes offline, no one officially acknowledges it. Then it somehow gets resolved automagically an hour or three later and everyone from Redmond to Richmond pretends everything is normal. Outage? What outage?

we are never informed of the root cause and how MS will ensure it won’t happen again. Been many time they just pass the buck to the 3rd party exchange bases in London
and we pay for this privilege and MS wants to be a main stream player in realtime financial data feeds
its a joke
