Controlling settings, permissions, and membership within Teams and channels
Dear Jeremiah Pauler,
Thank you for reaching out. I understand how important it is to receive timely notifications from newly created channels, especially when important questions or @mentions require a prompt response.
Teams allows notification preferences to be configured for individual channels, but it does not document an option to automatically enable notifications for all new posts whenever a new channel is created, or you are added to one.
For channels where you would like to receive notifications for new activity, please try the following:
- In Microsoft Teams, locate the affected channel.
- Select More options (...), then select Channel notifications.
- In Notify me for all new posts, select Show in Activity and banner.
- Select Include thread replies to receive notifications for replies within threads.
- Turn Follow all new threads to On.
- Select Save to apply the changes.
Please configure these settings for the channels where you would like to stay notified of new posts and thread activity.
For additional information, please refer to: Manage channel notifications in Microsoft Teams
I hope this helps. Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation. Please feel free to reply below if you have any update or further concern.
I am looking forward to your response!
