So on Viva engage I sent a request to join a group by accident, and noe I want to remove it because that group is not used anymore. Is there any way I can do this, please help

Thank you for sharing what happened.

Viva Engage does not provide an option for users to cancel or withdraw a pending request to join a private community. The request will remain pending until a community administrator approves or declines it.

If the community administrator is still available, please contact them and ask them to decline your request. If the request is approved in the meantime, you can leave the community by following these steps:

Open the community in Viva Engage.
Select Joined or the More options (...) menu.
Select Leave community and confirm the action.

Alternatively, you can ask the community administrator to remove you from the community.

There isn’t a self-service option in Viva Engage to cancel a pending request to join a private community.

Once the join request is submitted, it stays pending until the community admin accepts or declines it. The practical fix is to contact the community admin and ask them to reject the request.

If the request is approved before that happens, a community admin can remove the membership from the community:

Open the community.
Select the member count in the Members area.
Select Settings next to the user name.
Select Remove from community.

Note: updates to community membership and permissions can take up to 24 hours to replicate across the network.
