An Azure service that provides access to a secure, dedicated Redis cache, managed by Microsoft.
@Tejal Hello @Tejal,
Thank you for posting your question Microsoft Q&A
Analysis
Based on the information provided, the Azure Managed Redis instance appears to be stuck in a backend deletion operation. Since the resource has remained in the Deleting state for more than 24 hours, the deletion workflow may not have completed successfully on the Azure service side.
There is currently no supported customer-side mechanism to force-complete or manually remove an Azure Managed Redis resource that is stuck in the Deleting state.
Mitigation
Verify that there are no dependent resources still associated with the Redis instance.
Continue monitoring the resource status for a short period to determine whether the deletion completes automatically.
If the resource remains in the Deleting state, Microsoft backend intervention may be required to complete the cleanup process.
Since the subscription is using a Basic Support plan, consider upgrading to a support plan that includes technical support or engaging your Microsoft account representative for assistance.
You may proceed with creating a new Azure Managed Redis instance using a different resource name while the cleanup of the existing resource is completed in the backend.
Resolution
At this time, no corrective action is required from your side other than validating dependencies and monitoring the resource status. If the deletion does not complete automatically, the issue will require Microsoft backend assistance, as there is no supported self-service option to force the deletion.
Expected Outcome
Once the backend cleanup operation completes successfully, the Redis resource will be automatically removed from the resource group. Creating a new Redis instance with a different name should not be blocked by the resource currently stuck in the Deleting state.
